The Marketing Innovation & Strategy department, where this position stands, provides its support to the Lines of Business, by fulfilling its mission:
•To be the partner of all entities of BU in relation to market (customer, consumer, competitor) driven strategy development and deployment in order to enable them to fully grasp (new) business opportunities and to reduce business risks
•by having sound understanding of the (strategic and operational) business drivers
•by developing, implementing and gathering, to the businesses translated, (strategic) marketing tools and market (3 C) knowledge

Your Responsibilities:
-
• As (senior) market intelligence manager consult and support the assigned Categories/ Prod Lines on market intelligence, based on market facts (from e.g. ad hoc market research projects).
• Co-responsible for the deployment of and consulting on structural market research information (market share, distribution developments, market sizing/forecasting, etc) for the Categories.
• Identifies the need for primary and secondary market information and initiates and co-ordinates research projects with 3rd parties (e.g. Market research agencies)
• Defines with the stakeholders market intelligence (year-)plan and translates it into budget consequences. Tracks progress and reviews plan regularly
• Liaises with CL MI community and Application Research Centers and shares activities/best-practices with these parties
• Critical and objective voice of the market. Acts actively as internal consultant in business projects to stimulate market driven business decisions. Participates in business and product feasibility assessments.
• Assures proper sharing (digital accessibility) of market information with the key stakeholders and vice versa (leverage)
• Assures proper implementation of market intelligence as part of the BU’s business processes (eg. IDP); from strategy development via innovation planning and product creation to product introduction
• Manages consumer/retail/competitor knowledge by keeping it up-to-date and by filling knowledge gaps; hereby also minimizing duplication and inefficiency in e.g. sourcing
• Co-responsible to grow (as part of MI&S-team) the Market Intelligence job in line with BU DA development and organization.

functiecriteria

Your Profile:
• 2 to 5 years experience in a market intelligence job or a job with a significant Market Intelligence component
• Proven capability in leading both qualitative and quantitative research projects.
• Clear interest in qualitative and quantitative research in a business environment.
• High level of consulting skills and analytical insight
• Personal maturity, team player, hands on mentality
• Passion for change and innovation; pro-active attitude
• Strong ability to switch from helicopter-view to details level
• University level
