Our international client is specialised in banking software. From their Amsterdam office they service clients in the EMEA region, with a permanent staff of 14 and an additional 60 contractors.
The Business Analyst works under the supervision of the Business Analyst Manager, and interacts with clients to determine what modifications need to be made to an application. The Business Analyst will help the team determine if the modifications are acceptable and act as a viable and contributing member of an implementation team. They will work on a client’s implementation of the company’s suite of products from contract stage through conversion, until turnover to Client Support/Help Desk. The successful candidate will also participate in functional design, writing specifications, reviewing test cases and testing projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Answering functional questions on areas of the system.
• Performing client interviews to obtain business requirements.
• Adhering to project plans and ensuring that project deliverables are completed on time.
• Performing gap analysis with the assistance of other team members.
• Performing review, analysis and evaluation of business and user requirements.
• Writing documentation of detailed business requirements and business flows for development projects.
• Reviewing all design solutions for accuracy and adherence to the business requirements.
• Giving design input through knowledge of software and industry to ensure all accommodations have been made.
• Documenting training materials and providing training if needed.
• Researching and documenting bugs; communicating issues to developers and support staff; working the bug lists to ensure reasonable turnaround.

• Must be native Dutch and fluent in English (both in writing and verbally). An additional European language would be an advantage.
• At least 3 year’s experience in core banking. Client Support experience is important. At least 1 years experience with banking applications.
• Must be educated to Bachelor level in Business or Finance.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written within all levels of the organisation.
• People skills such as: acting with integrity and respect for others, negotiation, political acumen, professional impartiality, client service orientation, personal time management and ability to achieve success through exercise of influence.
• Should have knowledge of software development methodologies.
• Supports investment in processes to retain critical knowledge and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Able to demonstrate initiative and work in a self-directed fashion.
• Able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Able to demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, detail, correctness and deadlines.
